THE war of words between tennis star Andy Murray and older brother Jamie has come to and end with a birthday peace offering.
The spat started when Andy unexpectedly pulled out of the Davis Cup tie in Buenos Aires in February. Born with a split patella, he felt his knee would not hold out on Argentina's hard clay courts.

But Andy omitted to tell his brother. When Jamie used a press conference to express his grievances, there followed a period of silence between the pair.

The quarrel was ended after a call from Andy on Jamie's 22nd birthday.

Both brothers appear keen to play down their contretemps. Jamie said: "We get on very well normally and it was just one of those things that, hopefully, won't happen again."
