BAGS of ready-to-eat salad were withdrawn from Morrisons shops yesterday in a food poisoning scare involving possible salmonella contamination,
The supermarket chain has pulled the suspect bags from shelves across Britain - including its 49 stores in Scotland - and is asking customers to return them to stores.

Possible salmonella contamination came to light during routine testing by the supplier, a Morrisons spokeswoman said. The supermarket chain has notified the Food Standards Agency and has launched an investigation into the cause of the contamination.

The recalled 280g bags of own-brand mixed leafy salad with red chard were priced at £1.49. Only bags with the use-by date April 29 are being recalled.

Morrisons is putting signs up in stores to warn customers about the incident .

By the time they ship them up from Engerland their Unionist carbon footprints will be past their sell by date.

Since the Faitherland has taken over the SCWS and Scottish supermecats I prefr to shop at German Lidles and Aldis for Scottish goods.

#2 What utter xenophobic drivel. Scotland does not need pap like this to justify independence.

Why don't supermarkets in Scotland sell food that is grown in Scotland?

Why don't Scots realise that every food source depends on a natural growing cycle?

Seasonal foods and sustainable farming please.
