Helen Rennie, 68, retired, Dalkeith: "I enjoyed this evening very much. I particularly liked the tunes from Les Miserables. You could just sit with your head back and close your eyes and listen to them. And the girls were wearing some pretty outfits."
Cynthia Walden, 74, retired, Craigmillar: "What lovely voices, it was an absolute joy to come along and hear them this evening. There were a number of tunes I didn't know but the Monty Python ones were excellent and everyone loves the Andrew Lloyd Webber bits. I would have liked to have had fewer jokes and a bit more about the actual songs though."

Andrew Morrison, 54, hotel manager, Duddingston: "I go to a lot of classical musical recitals and to be honest, they're better presented. The music was brilliant. But it would be nice just for the singers to interact a bit more. They're experienced theatre actors but there was only really one duet where they got closer than four feet to each other. It felt a bit weird, asthere are so many brilliant duets they could have done."
