GREEK prime minister Costas Karamanlis urged the United Nations to continue pursuing reunification of Cyprus, despite coolness by UN officials over doing anything in the near future.
After a meeting with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who is preparing a Security Council report on the Greek Cypriots’ resounding "no" to his 9000-page plan to unite the island, Mr Karamanlis said there was hope it could be revived.
