"Glasgow is now on to its fourth successive year."

Let's think about that for a minute, Glasgow has had it's council tax frozen for three years already.

Now, can anyone recall when the 'cuts' article began being produced by the Scottish media? That's correct, after the SNP rolled out the freeze nationwide. Up until then Glasgow council had been used as an example of excellent Labour stewardship.

One other thing to note:
Not so long ago the Scottish media headlined complaints from both Labour councils and Labour at Holyrood explaining that the settlement from Swinney was inadequate due to the (then) higher inflation rate.

We now have an inflation rate that is the lowest for fifty years, yet we see no evidence of Labour, the councils nor indeed the Scottish media acknowledging that the this low infation rate has resulted in councils having more rather than less.

Just count your lucky stars we in the East Riding of Yorkshire continue to have above inflation rises and the council chiefs spill out the usual rhetoric that they need to provide for the old and young. They even have a special charge to cover the cost of future flooding. We ourselves were flooded out of our home and we got bu.....all from the council just to rub salt in the wound..Any room for 2 OAP's in Scotland?
