OJ Simpson faces spending the rest of his life behind bars today after being found guilty of kidnapping and armed robbery in Las Vegas.
An all-white jury of nine women and three men unanimously found him guilty of all 12 charges after more than 13 continuous hours of deliberations, which started 13 years to the day after he was cleared of a double murder in America's "trial of the century".

The former American football star kidnapped two sports memorabilia dealers and robbed them at gunpoint in a room at the Palace Station hotel and casino in Las Vegas on September 13 last year, the jury at the Clark County District Court found.

Simpson, 61, who now lives in Miami, Florida, faces up to life in prison when sentenced on December 5.

It will mark the lowest point of a momentous fall from grace for the former actor and National Football League star whose high-profile 1995 trial saw him cleared of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, by a predominantly black jury in Los Angeles.

The 1995 verdict shocked the world and prompted debates over the racial elements of the case and the suitability of televised trials.

In Las Vegas today, Simpson blew out his cheeks, sighed heavily and nodded as the verdicts were read out.

District Attorney David Roger, prosecuting, said Simpson was the leader of a conspiracy last year and none of the men with him cared about the memorabilia in the room.

Deputy district attorney Chris Owens added that Simpson took a gang of men to the Palace Station to retrieve items he lost while trying to hide them from the family of Ronald Goldman and the California court which levied a 33.5 million dollar (£18.9m) civil wrongful death judgment against Simpson.

He urged the jury to uncover the "true face" of the former star, and said it was "not necessarily the one he puts out to the world".

Four of the five men who accompanied Simpson to the casino – Charles Cashmore, Walter "Goldie" Alexander, Michael "Spencer" McClinton and Charles Ehrlich – have accepted plea deals and agreed to testify for the prosecution.

The fifth, Clarence "CJ" Stewart, 54, was his golfing friend and co-defendant in the trial.

The former star and Stewart were both found guilty of all 12 charges they faced.

These were two counts of first degree kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of coercion with a deadly weapon, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit a crime, kidnapping and robbery.

#6 I guess you didn't follow the whole case from start to finish. He was innocent. This latest thing is just a set up. The only way he could be guilty would be if he could levitate, and I'm pretty sure he can't do that.

#9 Okay genius. What did he do with all the blood then? Can you explain that? Can you explain how he savagely stabbed two people to death and the only blood that was found on him was a single drop on a sock?
Detective Lange admitted to F. Lee Bailey, they could not find a trace of blood OR dirt on the white (or light covered), stairs or on the walls leading to O.J.'s upstairs bedroom.... OR on the white bedroom carpet OR in the bathroom.
So tell us all here, how a man covered in blood, made it home, up those stairs, into that bathroom, changed his clothes and all that was left was the sock! Come on!
The same detective then testified that they took apart ALL the plumbing in the bathroom but could not find one drop or flake of blood in the pipes!
Please tell me how he did it. PLEASE

#13 , But there was blood found inside the vehicle he was driving. Don't forget that. Beside, he had time before he was arrested to clean himself up. They did not arrest him on the spot. He was clearly guilty. Everyone here knows it.

He is now having to face up to responsibility for his own actions for once. He felt he was beyond the law. There were guns involved in the robbery. Thus, armed robbery. He deserves to rot in jail. Good enough for him and that is not a slur on color at all. The same would hold true for anyone else.

#14 He was not "clearly guilty". That is absolute rubbish. Where were his bloody clothes? Where was the knife? Why did the blood traces have preservatives in them? Why had the mystery blood stain on the sock managed to seep from one side of the sock to the other? How would that have happened if someone had been wearing the sock at the time?
There was a tiny spot of blood found in the bronco. do you know what it takes to remove blood from material? DNA tests showed some of the blood apparently a mixture with genetic markers of Simpson and the victims. But the bronco had been entered at least twice by unauthorised people at the impound yard.
If he had done it he would have been covered in blood, and that blood would have been everywhere. It would be impossible for him to have got up to his room in that state without leaving blood on the walls and carpet.
He could not have cleaned it off without a trace.
So, unless the man can levitate... he's innocent.

Are we talking about this trial or the Murder case.....that's why I say OJ did not get a fair trial. Althought most of America thinks he did it and escaped the law. is that justice to find him guilty for this BS. immunity, tape recorders....Set up. No I would argue that OJ is an idiot. Not a racist but it is true more whites hate OJ than blacks and he still trusting white people like they are his friends. He got set up, lied on, they are fee, and now he is guilty of a ridiculous crime. No one cares about the facts, even the media, they just glad he found guilty. And second i never understood how a CIVIL judge gonna convict an innocent by fair trial man. It's all bs. Don't care much for oj but this is not right and even it you think he did it, CONVICT him for the right crime anything else is UNAMERICAN and plain wrong....oops excuse me this just might be AMERICAN the way this country is going to hell to in a hand basket

This is exactly how the US works. Annoy the wrong people and you'll be "got" no matter what. That jury of white women, what a joke! These are the people who want to dictate to the rest of the world how to run a court.

Why should there be blood everywhere?

If he stabbed her through the heart first, making a small incision, the heart would stop beating and the blood wouldn't pump out everywhere (most of the bleeding would be internal.

And he wouldn't have any blood on him.
