UK police spent £500k on Madeleine McCann investigation

BRITISH police spent more than half a million pounds assisting the Portuguese investigation into Madeleine McCann's disappearance.
Leicestershire Police's part in the search for the missing girl cost £548,477 in 2007-8, the force said. But it was reimbursed for most of this amount by a Home Office grant of £525,069.

Of course it's not wasted dosh. There's an innocent child out there somewhere and no amount of money spent looking for her is wasted. The same goes for any other missing child - it's a disgrace that this country gives no importance and hardly any funding to help find missing children.

And you with the sick name - how do you know what most people believe?? It's not what most people I know believe! Thank God we move in different circles!!

Keep spending until Madeleine is brought home!!

The Mccanns have accumulated a sizable cash pile in lieu of their daughters loss,(over £2 million was donated by a willing public according to the last set of accounts).
Perhaps it would not be unreasonabale to suggest that the Mccanns, through their fund, contribute some small token of money towards the undeniably far reaching, and yet so far, futile attempts, to recover her.
The public would I am sure, be very pleased with such an act of munificence, on the part of the Mccanns, and it might go some way towards repairing the Mccanns precarious and fragile relationship with the public at large.
"No stone will be left unturned" to quote one person, was a phrase we have all become so familiar with.
"We are not magicians" was a phrase the investigating authorites used concerning the whereabouts of Madeleine Mccann.
If she was securely hidden away, and this look increasingly likely then this suggests someone knew where she had been hidden. Those who spirited her away certainly know where she is concealed, and it may be that, slowly, and degree by degree, her whereabouts will become apparent to the rest of us.

No money spent on trying to find any child is wasted no matter what the circustances of the loss.
But living very close to where the parents are living and working,the point that has continually struck me as very strange is that the local politicans IE members of Parliament, have been, and are, being very,very quiet questioning on the points of who and where this girl is .
Lets not forget that this is a small blond blue eyed white child, an ideal plaything in certain societies that this government has Diplomatic ties with.
No matter who has taken this child,when and if caught, I and many others here WILL publically make them pay for their crimes .
