AN organisation committed to ridding Edinburgh’s streets of litter is appealing for more members.
People Against Litter, an internet-based group that now has more than 500 members across the city, urges everyone to pick up one piece of litter a week, which it says would make a massive difference to the appearance of the Capital.

Founder Francesca Saunders said: “We have a simple aim: each member picks up at least one piece of litter per week and asks another person to do the same. By word of mouth the numbers will increase and lead to an improved environment for us all.

“This can be done in whatever part of the world you live in or are visiting, at no personal cost.

“There are no fees or meetings, just an individual’s commitment to pick up at least one piece of litter per week, and if possible get one other person to do the same.”

Here's something you can all do for people like me, and
if you do I will promise to dispose of them in an ecologically friendly way. Please do not drop your fag ends in the gents urinals, it makes them difficult to relight. Oh you can't now can you they are public enclosed places. What am I supposed to do now?
I bet David of New Mills has an answewr.
