Loan costs higher than rates rises

THE cost of borrowing money has increased at a rate that far outstrips the Bank of England's base rate rises since November 2006, according to the financial website MoneyExpert.com.
The website's study also shows that up to 926,000 borrowers have failed to make a payment on a personal loan in the six months to 21 December.
