FINANCE secretary John Swinney will today visit South Uist to meet members of a task force campaigning to retain a military missile base.
The Ministry of Defence has announced it may switch control of the Hebrides range in Benbecula and South Uist to Wales, a move that could see 125 jobs disappearing from the islands.

The task force met for the first time last week and plans to carry out detailed research into the impact of a rundown at the missile base.
