HILLARY CLINTON threw her full support behind Barack Obama in a passionate speech which drew thunderous applause at the Democratic Party's national convention.
Mrs Clinton, who once seemed sure to win the party's nomination for the White House, told cheering delegates in Denver, Colorado: "Barack Obama is my candidate and he must be our president,"
In a 23-minute speech she betrayed none of the anger and disappointment friends say she still feels.
And in a message to some of her supporters who are still resentful towards Mr Obama, the former First Lady said: "I want you to ask yourselves, 'Were you in this campaign just for me?' Or were you in it for... all the people in this country that feel invisible."
