I think Celtic have missed getting one great prospect Fletcher and noe McCarthy, the Celts squad needs some new blood and if you ask me they are too slow and missing some great talent.

I also think it’s disappointing for Scottish football that we are loosing Fletcher and possibly McCarthy simply because of the money the English clubs have from their TV deals. Clubs like Hull and Burnley can now outbid the Old Firm!

Feeling the draught I think. You don't like it when the big teams come prowling. EPL, big pond big fish. SPL,wee pond small fry.
Get used to it you lot have done it to the rest of Scottish clubs for years.

Very true #2 the greed of the OF has ruined scottish football and now they are crying to get away from it, but that will never happen. As a jambo living down in england and a long standing Burnley fan I look forward to next season using my FREE season ticket as all last years st holders got freee ones this year, yes the clarets can afford to do this.

If it wasn't for Celtic and the buns you lot through in Edinburgh probably wouldn't even have stadiums. I'm sick at the whining you lot do when we take your dross at over inflated prices.

I'd drive the minibus myself to take all the rubbish we dragged doon the M8 back where they came from and that includes the over-hyped Broon and Caldwell.
That was the worst aspect of the Strachan era, I spent a fortune of my hard earned going to Lisbon and Copenhagen only for that eejit Caldwell to sell the jerseys before we got going.
Generally, the reason you play for Hearts and Hibs is because your not Celtic quality.

The non OF clubs have simply never had anyone with the guts to match the OF money wise, and also have never had the supporters base.

The same picture arises in every country in Europe, look at Real; they have now spent how much? Over 150m Euros on three players!

If you did not have Glasgow, then the Edinburgh teams would dominate, but you don't and they don't and you never will. If there is no OF, I suggest there would be no professional league in Scotland, the OF and their supporters have subsidized you guys all along whether from the full houses you get when our supporters visit or the over priced players you sell us.

You talk about us being bitter and twisted?

I’m just saying I think it’s a sad day when mediocre clubs like Burnley and Wigan can outmuscle the old firm, you would not understand because the Edinburgh teams, certainly since the 1960’s, have invariably been mediocre except on a few rare occasions.

I'm actually on your side and would rather the league was more competitive and people like Fletcher at least stayed a bit longer with Hibs.

Fletcher is average, that's why a mince team like Burnley only paid 3 mil for him.

Ditto McCarthy. A promising talent...hmm, like Paul McStay you mean?

Why when Celtic miss out on players to EPL teams do they continually go on about the TV money they are getting when, in terms of total turnover, Celtic still make more money than half the Premiership?

Surely any club with a turnover of £60-£70M should be able to spend a few millions on players every season?

Some OF fans are so incredibly thick. Some great examples above.

# DGSEVILLE2, FYI most non OF teams spend more as a percentage of income on salaries than the OF do. In fact is that the OF have continually been dumped out of Europe because they lack the bottle to invest, despite having substantially more financial clout than most of their European counterparts.

They get away with this because their supporter are far too stupid and fixate totally on how they compare with their OF rivals.

OF course we are all grateful that they are so pitiful in Europe given their massive resources. That's why no one of any quality will sign for them. No more Di Canio, Gascione, Larson, Ludrup, or that other Dutch boy with the big teeth.

Although to be fair I really did enjoy watching the OF when they used to try and compete on the big stage by spending on quality. Now they only compete with each other. Sad, but true.

Of course OF fans will somehow manage to make their lack of ambition all be our fault.

Should football fans be prevented from going to away games?
No it’s only a small minority who are violent and you’ll never stop it.
Yes, the hooliganism must be stamped out.
Maybe but really the police need more resources to tackle the thugs
