GOOGLE'S controversial street cars are photographing Scotland's streets once again.
The vehicles, which took 360-degree pictures of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen earlier this year, are gathering images of places they missed the first time round.
Some of the capital's most famous areas, such as Princes Street, Cockburn Street and George Street, are currently absent from the mapping service. The camera cars were unable to take some pictures because of roadworks, one-way systems and traffic problems – and the vehicles cannot operate when it is raining.
Google's street cars are also photographing smaller towns and villages, such as Dalgety Bay in Fife and Auchencairn in Dumfries and Galloway.
Google spokeswoman Laura Scott said:
"We blur out all the faces of individuals snapped and there is now the option to remove images if you deem them to be an invasion of privacy."
