MORE than 1,000 people a day are still visiting George Best's grave, three weeks after his funeral, it emerged yesterday.
Councillors in east Belfast will soon consider the siting of a permanent memorial to Best which means the grave he shares with his mother Ann, and those of others packed closely around, are no longer disturbed.

"It's been an absolutely phenomenal response to a legend," said a spokesman for Belfast City Council which administers the cemetery.
