A LEADING doctor has accused the Scottish Government of following Westminster's lead on extended hours.
Dr Dean Marshall, chairman of the BMA's Scottish General Practitioners Committee and an Edinburgh GP, told the annual conference of Scottish Local Medical Committees: "The SNP Government has lacked the confidence or will to extract itself from the political agenda which is driving health policy in England.

"A prime example of this is the Scottish Government's decision to apply the English plan for extended hours.

"A plan that was devised to deal with a particular problem in South East England which is completely different to the situation we have here in Scotland."

Aye right Mr Marshal, there was a time when GP's were respected hard working members of the community, now having got their massive pay rise they spend their whole time moaning about a few extra hours.I would have thought that patients needs would be universal not regional anyway.

The Scotsman is shameless. They repeatedly put words that are not quotes in inverted commas to give the appearance that they are.

Of course they only seem to do that when it is negative to the SNP.

You are absolutely disgraceful, Scotsman.

Once again the opinion of one person presented in a headline as fact by using quote marks.

Let me just take a wee stab in the dark here.
Another unionist "expert" has been wheeled in to critisise SNP policy because he or she is a unionist and the SNP are the party of Scottish Independence and this propaganda media prints it as a story???

Is that where we are again?? just for a change.
