MORE than 450 daredevils will leap off the Forth Bridge later this month to raise money for charity.
Network Rail has once again given permission to stage a charity abseil from the bridge and participants will be freefall abseiling on seven separate ropes.

The event, being held on Sunday, April 19, has been organised by leading medical charity Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.

CHSS regional fundraising and events manager Chris Marks said: "More than £850,000 has been raised for charity by the 3500 participants who have taken the plunge in this abseil. We're hoping that this year's event could perhaps break our enormous £1 million fundraising barrier, which would be amazing."

The abseil has reached full capacity, with places already filling up for the next abseil on October 11. Bookings can be made at www.ultimateabseil.com

Let's hope the seven ropes don't get in a tangle!
"The XX.XX to Edinburgh Waverley is cancelled/delayed due to knotted ropeworks on the Forth Bridge"!! etc etc
