Fish-farm giant is fined for pollution

MARINE Harvest, the world's biggest fish farmer, was fined £23,500 yesterday for polluting a salmon river and nearby land on Harris.
At Stornoway Sheriff Court, the firm admitted five counts of contravening environmental laws in September 2006.
