SIX aircraft have been hit by fireworks in UK airspace in the past ten years.
It was revealed in a Commons written reply yesterday that a plane was hit at 300ft this year and suffered scorched paint. In the same period, there were 33 reports of fireworks "in the vicinity" of passenger aircraft - in one case, at 8,000ft.

That must have been some firework if it reached 8,000 feet. Where can I buy them?

Who wrote this drivel?

Like GugaII and Boy Wonder say, it must be some kind of firework to reach 300ft, let alone 8000ft.

Jon Tickle actually carried out this experiment on Brainiac and found that the firework just about made 50ft.

If this was in a Commons Written Reply, I frankly doubt the sanity of the Civil Servant who wrote it. Are they really so stupid that they take everything at face value without bothering to think about what they are saying?

Sadly, it appears, yes...

The illegals have found a new terror weapon.

All they'll do is ban fireworks, since obviously only terrorists would want to make things go bang.
