JONATHAN Ross successfully worked the word "salad" into his Baftas presentation, after promising to do so on the website Twitter.
Ross invited suggestions for an unexpected word to say on the night.

Writing as "Wossy" he said his wife had chosen the word 'salad'.

Introducing the award for Costume Design, Ross said: "In my view, actors are in many ways like salad – they are nothing without great dressing.

"I will pause for a moment to let the magnitude of that analogy sink in for you."
