IRISH Red Cross worker Donal O'Suilleabhain has been released by the armed group which was holding him captive in Ethiopia.
O'Suilleabhain, 41, from Sligo, was travelling with six colleagues when they were abducted by an armed group in the southern town of Gode at about 10am last Monday.

Five of the seven aid workers were subsequently released, but O'Suilleabhain and an Ethiopian colleague were still being held.

He was reportedly treated well during his ordeal.
