A TASKFORCE revealed plans yesterday for a wide-ranging reform of the way universities receive public cash.
The body, created last year by Fiona Hyslop, the education secretary, and Sir Muir Russell, the Universities Scotland convener, published its final report alongside a Scottish Funding Council report on how the reform would be implemented.
The shake-up calls for two funds for universities – a general fund for mainstream work and a "horizon" fund to help them achieve Scottish Government priorities.
