A PRIMARY school has been awarded a top accolade for its work promoting the health and well-being of its pupils, parents and staff.
NHS Lothian and Education Services gave the level three award to Howden St. Andrew's Primary School in Livingston following a recent inspection.

It is the first school in the Lothians to achieve the recognition, which rewards the school's achievements including the mainstreaming of health and well-being across the curriculum, its endeavours in the Active Schools initiative and the well established Food Co-op.

The school's Health Co-ordinator, Lisa Reid, led the initiative and worked in partnership with the school community.
