Author reveals story of China's new middle class

A LECTURE on China's emerging middle class is due to take place tomorrow in the city.
It is understood there are around 150 million people who would consider themselves middle class following the country's emergence as an economic superpower.

Author James Lynge will shed light on the issue at the Royal Society of Edinburgh in George Street at 6pm. For free tickets phone 0131-473 2000.

Good that The Scotsman allows the pejorative "Chinks" word on their commments pages (post #2 Spathiphyllum above), not for the first time, yet disallows in innocent context words such as "n-i-p". Pathetic double standard.

It shows out of touch with reality you are Jimmy boy, times have changed and China is a world leader now and many Western countries are looking to China to bail them out of their economic messes which they brought on themselves, with a lot of help from Bush and Blair and company of course.
China is the place to be now, the land of the present and the long foreseeable future.

Other than that, my only contact with the French was in the military (and most of them were non-French in the Foreign Legion) and those I have met on holiday. No problem with any of them. And you?

Our long visits to UK in the past few years, showed us a sh*thole of a country in rapid decline.It's people some of the rudest,dirty,foul-mouthed pond life on the planet!No respect for anything or anyone, including themselves.Sodom and Gomorrah in all but name.Common decency and common-sense from ill educated,PC,socially engineered losers appears to have been removed from the collective DNA!China with all it's problems,still makes the UK look what it is, a tacky little, tinpot country run by a government so far left as to be almost circular!They make even the (lip service) communist government here look good.

If the UK is such a "sh*thole of a country", why do you visit it for long periods? Keeping your options open so you can find a care home here when you finally go totally ga-ga(can't be long now)? The country can well do without sneering old f*rts like you even though as rude,dirty,foul-mouthed pond life you would fit right in if your description is accurate.
There would appear to be no point to your little rant other than to illustrate what an ignorant and unpleasant little goit you are. I knew that already so your effort was wasted.
