On your marks for marathon

ENTRIES for next year's Albert Bartlett Edinburgh Marathon will open on September 1.

The event will take place on May 31, 2009 and all past entrants will be e-mailed with a special entry code.

At this year's event the number of entrants more than doubled in size from 2007, with around 13,000 runners taking their marks at the city's Regent Road.
