TICKET sales at the Edinburgh International Film Festival are up on last year's event.
The festival, which closes tonight with a gala screening for the international premiere of Max Mayer's Adam, has seen a 3.5 per cent increase in ticket sales, with more than 45,000 tickets sold.

The figures only compare to last year, which was the first time the festival had been held in June.
