AN East Lothian football team has received an early Christmas present, courtesy of leading motor finance firm Black Horse, which has come on board to provide them with a brand new strip.
Tranent Juniors BFC U8 was started up two years ago and this marks the first time that the under-eight team has received the backing of a big-name sponsor.

Lynn Worobec, who lives in Tranent and works at Black Horse's Edinburgh office, presented the team with their new strips Her son, six-year-old son Danny, plays for the team.

Gordon Nicol, who co-manages the team alongside Scott Buchanan and Keith Bowman, said: "We're a non-competitive squad playing four-a-side, but we hope to develop the team and players as they grow, moving on to seven and then eventually 11-a-side games. This support will aid us greatly in reaching that goal."
