PROSECUTORS in the Lothians secured convictions against four out of five defendants accused of drug dealing, new figures reveal.
Between last April and March, charges were proven against 81 per cent of the 250 people appearing before the courts for allegedly supplying, or being in possession with the intent to supply, drugs.

The rate was the same as for 2006-7, but slightly lower than the 87 per cent rate in 2005-6.

The figures were given in a parliamentary answer by Fergus Ewing.

outside the drug world the numbers look better but from the inside it is a totally different story.Where i live there r about 6 dealers in each town and to make it worse the police no who is bringing it in and also some of these people have been caught with enough H to go to jail for a long time , but instead the r back on the street more confident they r untouchable and still running a highly profitable bussiness, due to this most if not all addicts wonting out are living in fear if the police cant stop the suppliers when they have all evidence to do so ,there is a waiting list just under 2yrs what hope do we have, and what about the next generation ,who see what can be made from this and how u r untouchable??.At present police r stoping and searching addicts eveyday but the dealers are driven past in there new cars while still awaiting court prosedings against them. And to make matters worse everyone knows who these people are?? Please xplain .
