THE former Liberal Democrat councillor who almost blocked Donald Trump's plans for a billion-pound golf resort in Aberdeenshire said yesterday he plans to vote for the Green Party at the European elections.
Martin Ford used his casting vote to try to reject Mr Trump's plans but they were later given the go-ahead. He resigned from the Liberal Democrats last year and has formed a four-strong Independent group on Aberdeenshire Council.

Mr Ford yesterday said only the Green Party could be trusted to act on climate change.

Mr Ford ... you were right about Trump and left the Liobdumbs with your head high! Don't weaken your position by throwing in with the Greens. They're as bad as the lot you left!

#1 Well said! Saw Trump's son on TV this morning, promoting getting rid of two 'offending landowners' who's property they need to complete the housing estate, sorry! - golf courses. Someone said the council will use compulsory purchase "only as the very last resort"! Last resort for what? Depriving someone of their freedom to choose what they do with their property? The Nats will be having a beano with this! What's the 'Battle Cry' FREEDOM! Don't make me laugh!
