Trump critics over the top

I was very surprised and disappointed at the number of your correspondents who were opposed to Donald Trump's billion-pound development in Aberdeen. I can only assume that they are sitting comfortably in a secure job and don't care for the plight of the hundreds, possibly thousands, of workers in the building industry who are losing their jobs at present and who would welcome the opportunity to work on this development.
It would have been a criminal act for the Scottish Government to turn this offer down when you consider the hardship that is being felt by so many families as a consequence of the credit crunch.

We can only hope that there will be more developers attracted to Scotland who are prepared to prop up our economy.

Yes, let's take down Edinburgh Castle and re-use the stones to build more houses - this might attract developers to Sotland and get us out of this recession. It would be criminal not to.

At around £14 a pop to get into the castle, I think that's only fair that we do.

It's only a bunch of sand dunes. We have plenty in Scotland to play in.

Haven't we got enough 'leisure complexes' in this country ? there's only a certain amount of cake to be split between them. Best idea would be to construct a few workhouses because the way things are going we're going to need them. The up-market houses aren't going to help the housing situation either.
If builders need work there's plenty over the West Coast, you can't get a builder over here, atleast not one which will turn up regularly and complete your job on time.
