DAVID Beckham last night broke his silence on his future and revealed he wants to finish his career with AC Milan.
The midfielder was speaking after playing the first-half of a 2-2 draw against Rangers – his latest appearance in what was originally meant to be a three-month loan period with the Serie A side from LA Galaxy. But Beckham has now instructed his lawyers to begin preparing the way for a permanent move to Milan from the States.

"I have made both clubs aware that my intention is to stay here, and now it is out of my hands," said the former England captain. "I respect the Galaxy but I have expressed a desire to stay in Milan and I hope the clubs can come to an agreement."

Rangers manager Walter Smith urged his players to use the experience of last night's draw with Milan as an incentive to bring elite European football back to Ibrox on a regular basis. "When we have a game like this one, it makes you hungry for more of that kind of football," said Smith. "It was a good exercise."

Why is the other report so critical of David Beckham, at the end of the day it was a friendly and no one would have given 100% for fear of injury so why should David Beckham, I saw the footage of his arrival at Glasgow airport and he was friendly, cheerful and spoke to both press and fans alike. He is a good guy and deserves better from our media.

$5,000,000. per goal while playing for the Galaxy. Excellent value.

What happened to all the BS that Beckham spewed when he arrived in Los Angeles about how he wanted to help raise American soccer to the next level and how he wanted to "give back to the game"? ADD?

Saw David play here in a friendly with the Galaxy and our Vancouver Whitecaps. He played well and gave a good show, but everyone wanted to see who he would give his jersey to at the end of the game. Several players were hoping for it. Halfway thru the game it was announced that his jersey would be auctioned away to charity, however, at the end of the game he headed for the tunnel, then stopped, pulled off his jersey and ran up to a little girl and gave it to her. You should have seen the look on the girl, and her mums face. Class act, was great with the kids and the hospitals here and insisted the media not film him while he was visiting the sick kids. Gotta admire the man for that.
