THE loss of a loved one is a harrowing and life-changing experience – the last thing anyone who has experienced this should face is deportation.
But, due to the unbending and inhumane immigration laws currently enforced by the UK government, this is exactly the situation a constituent of mine, Nidhi Singh, finds herself in.

I can only read the first bit of the article, but I'd like to see Mrs Singh and her children return to Scotland as soon as possible. The system lets us all down if it cannot respond quickly to this special case.

There is no doubt that many potential asylum seekers and potential immigrants have a valid reason for coming to the UK BUT we have a set of laws made in order to try to control the levels of immigration to the UK. It's a simple solution to state that those who meet the criteria should be allowed in but those who don't should be rejected - QED!
For the SNP to build on emotions in this highly charged area is nothing short of politiical shennanigans!! It seems that the SNP is determined to enable immigration in spurious situations in order to build their vote. Shame on you SNP
