THE Royal Yacht Britannia has upgraded its IT support contract with Adventi, the Edinburgh-based IT support company, which provides cover for its three servers and 31 computers.
Isobel Graham, head of finance and administration at the Royal Yacht, said the attraction had previously contracted its IT support to Leith-based FDI, which was purchased by Adventi last autumn in a move that doubled the size of the company.
With the addition of an enhanced service, preventative maintenance and remote server monitoring, Adventi has now broadened the scope of IT support on board the Royal Yacht and in the adjoining visitor centre at Ocean Terminal shopping mall.
Adventi managing director Graham Bucknall, who founded the firm in 2002 along with technical director Keith Edwards, said: "High-profile clients such as the Royal Yacht Britannia demonstrate to the small and medium-sized enterprises in Scotland the benefits of regular maintenance and support for their IT systems, and further establish Adventi’s credentials as a leader in this marketplace."
