THE girlfriend of a dad who was killed on his own doorstep has been charged with his murder.
Martyn Barclay died after being shot in the head at near his home in Hazelwood Grove in Edinburgh on January 17 this year.
The 26-year-old father of one died the following day in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and a murder investigation was launched.
Last week four people were arrested and held in custody in connection with his death.
Today at Edinburgh Sheriff Court Caroline Igoe, 31, appeared in private on petition charged with his murder.
She is also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, as well as two breaches of the Firearms Act.
Her 36-year-old brother Paul Igoe is also charged with Mr Barclay's murder and faces the same charges as Miss Igoe.
Both made no plea or declaration and were fully committed on remand.
Miss Igoe's 61-year-old mother, Margaret, was released from custody last week after the Crown failed in an appeal against her bail at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Kenneth Carruthers, 36, was also released on bail following the same decision.
