A MAN Booker nominated novelist will be reading from his book at a free event aimed at building interest in the written word.
The award-winning James Meek will be reading extracts from The People's Act of Love, as well as his short story collection The Museum of Doubt.

The Dundee-born author has been invited to take part in The Bridge Readings, at the National Library of Scotland, in Salisbury Place, on Thursday, October 26.

Mr Meek's novel, The People's Act of Love was nominated for the prestigious Man Booker prize but failed to make the eventual short list.
