ONE of three children's hospital operating theatres closed in a maggot infestation scare has reopened.
The theatre is the only one at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital where there has been no evidence of infestation.
It was closed on Thursday. The decision to allow surgical teams back in to resume operations was taken by the health board after experts arrived to pinpoint the infestation source.
An NHS Grampian spokesman said: "The maggots were found in theatres A and C. Theatre B was not affected and was closed as a precaution."
