This year, Scotland is hosting its first ever Homecoming year, inspired by Robert Burns' 250th birthday celebrations.
To celebrate there are over 300 events and festivals across the whole of Scotland.
The Gathering 2009 (
www.thegathering2009.com) is one of our signature events.. It is a celebration of the culture and history of Scotland.
The two-day event, taking place in Edinburgh on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July, will be the greatest international clan gathering the world has ever seen, and the largest Highland Games to have been held in Scotland.
Holyrood Park will host the magnificent Highland Games and Scottish Festival over the two days, then on the Saturday evening Clan members will parade up the historic Royal Mile and take their seats on the castle esplanade for a spectacular Clan Pageant.
We've got a one-day family ticket to give away for Saturday 25th July, entitling 2 adults and 2 children to attend the Highland Games and Scottish Festival in Holyrood Park.
