Margo calls for ex-RBS chief's pot interdict

LOTHIANS Independent MSP Margo MacDonald has today called for an interdict to be pursued through the courts to prevent Sir Fred from claiming his pension pot.
The former RBS chief executive has come under fire for refusing to give up some of his £693,000-a-year pension. Treasury minister Lord Myners last night wrote to Sir Fred, urging him to think again about his "unfortunate and unacceptable" decision and denying the banker's claim that he had effectively sanctioned the package.

Today, Ms MacDonald has written to First Minister Alex Salmond asking to find out whether the full facts about the pension were known to Treasury ministers and officials when the deal was negotiated.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown had indicated yesterday that legal action may be taken to resolve the pension dispute.

the same action needs to be taken against the incompetent labour politicians who have bankrupted the country,quandered billions on useless i t projects, who have failed in every department of government from immigration law and order transport education health defence,illegal war,you name it they have failed at it with horrendous consequence,so we must ensure their salaries are at least halved ,their pension pot reduced to the legal minimum,no bonuses paid to civil servants,no money should be paid for failure in government,the only thing m ps do successfuly is claim expenses to the maximum possible and bend the claims rule at every oppurtunity,this will be a fine example to the nation and a start to a new honest government

Let's hope she does the same for the MPs, MSPs, MEPs and Councillors who screw the taxpayer for money through lavish expenses and gilt edged pensions.

Why were the 9 cars parked illegally outside Sir Fred' house booked by the L&B policeman who was there a few minutes ago. All he did was chat to them and go.

The trail doesn't stop at troughers like Goodwin. It leads all the way back via the FSA (should be renamed SFA), the Bank of England and the Treasury to numbers 10 and 11 Downing Street.

Bonuses? What bonuses? Expenses should be halved. No second (first) home allowance, but an overnight stay allowance on production of a receipt up to strict limits or they stay in provided accommodation. The feather bedding should end now.

#2 wholly agree. as the Bible used to say "judge not lest ye be judged. for with what judgment ye judge so shall thee be judged" tery saying that 3 times last thing on a heavy Saturday.

what are these idiots proving? are they saying "if you have more than me and i think you should not have i get you". just socialist but national socialist.
