With colossal acts like The Verve, Rage Against the Machine and REM, perennial favourites like Primal Scream, The Prodigy and The Charlatans, and young talents like Kate Nash, The Ting Tings and Vampire Weekend, T in the Park boasted arguably its finest ever line-up.

The Fratellis drew the biggest crowd of the day with their terrace-style singalongs.
Legendary Pogues frontman Shane McGowan kept the masses entertained in the King Tut's Wah Wah Tent.
Los Angeles rockers Rage Against the Machine whipped the Main Stage crowd into a frenzy with their headline show.
On Sunday, it seemed like half of the entire festival crammed into the King Tut's Tent for The Ting Tings.
Another rush ensued when sprightly New Yorkers Vampire Weekend played the same tent.
Panic At the Disco played their melodious guitar pop on the Radio 1/NME Stage.
Amy Winehouse showed up for T this time round, playing her Motown-tinged numbers to the Main Stage.
As the sun descended on Balado, The Zutons rocked the Radio 1/NME Stage.
American blues-rockers Kings of Leon returned to T to warm up for REM on the Main Stage.
And with the crowd ready, Michael Stipe and band brought the curtain down on the 15th T in the Park.
