AN international relief organisation launches an online project today allowing users to calculate their carbon footprint.
Mercy Corps, which is based in Edinburgh, wants to raise money from it Cool Carbon scheme to help countries and communities around the world who are badly affected by climate change.

The group's website – mercycorps.org.uk/coolcarbon – will enable people to work out exactly how much energy they use, and then establish how much they can donate to worldwide projects to offset it. Mercy Corps hopes to raise around £200,000.
