NEW IN . . .
We love the new Con Amici menu at Gusto on George Street. There's no need to waste precious eating – and drinking – time perusing the menu, as this place does all the hard work for you.
The four-course banquet simply arrives at the centre of the table, allowing you and your dining guests to sample a variety of tastes from around Italy. To book a table and give it a try, call Gusto on 0131-225 2555.

WE ARE LOVING . . .

the menu at Santini at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. With a focus on the modern side of Italian cooking, the current menu is bursting with authentic flavours. If you try anything, make sure it's the Fritto Misto – it's a gastronomic delight of lightly fried calamari, sea bass, tiger prawns and scallops, all housed in a paper chip-style wrapping. Fries and a lime aioli dip make for the perfect accompaniments, and it's a bargain at £21 with more than enough for two. To book telephone 0131-229 9131.

GET THERE FAST . . .
and snap up Aldi's fresh fruit and veg. With everything in this month's Aldi Super 6 just 69p, getting your recommended five portions a day is now even more affordable. Pick up runner beans, nectarines, little gem lettuce, large vine tomatoes, lemons, limes and courgettes, all at just 69p each. Bargain.
