COMMONWEALTH Games cycling medallist James McCallum continued his recovery from injury with an impressive first outing of the season in last night's round of the Meadowbank National Track League.
The Capital-based Plowman Craven rider posted a win over in-form duo Bruce Croall and Evan Oliphant in the Devil Take the Hindmost.

However, it was only a brief reversal for Croall, who chalked up a victory in the 15-lap scratch, leaving him with a massive advantage over his City of Edinburgh team-mate Derek Smith in the overall standings.

There was an impressive debut by Miguel Criza (Edinburgh RC), who marked his first league outing with a win in the B&C riders scratch race.

Meanwhile, in the youths league, Rosie Yeats (Edinburgh Racers) was the top points scorer with two wins in the handicap events and third place in the youths devil.
